During the winter of 08, I illustrated a range of hand painted Christmas cards for all my friends and family. Based on my favourite holiday novel 'A Christmas Carol'.
I took inspiration from the illustrations from 'Charles Dickens and Friends' by Marcia Williams (now called Oliver Twist and other Great Dickens Stories) for the theme of the cards.
Because of my passion for William's comic striped styled illustrations I have produced the pictures in that ambience keeping it true to the original artwork.
What I liked about producing these card designs is
that it gave the chance to experiment with different drawing techiques. It adds a more flamboyant flow to my style of drawing because normally it reflects the renaissance era by looking realistic but drawing in a cartoony form makes my artwork look under-rated in a way. Especially when it's based on Marcia Williams.

A very old acrylichttps://www.milococoblog.ml/2011/07/very-old-arcylic-wood-block-painting-i.html wood block painting I did of Iago from Shakespeare's Ophelio.
It was done at Paresly Pie Art Club, a youth arts and craft club i used to go to weekly. I created this
in late 2007 as a character design and or caricature for a Shakespeare product I'll one day
produce. It is also available to view on my deviant art blog.
